About us

Éclat Japon is located in Fushimi district, Kyoto City.
We are by a  popular shopping street, where there are many great sake breweries from old times and many delicious restaurants, which is an ideal place for casual strolling.

Our office building is a traditional style town house called kyomachiya, that was built more than 70 years ago. There are remnants from old days of being used for sake brewing business. You can also see some old tools, swords and a buddhist altar here.

The name of the company, Éclat(榮くら),  took one Kanji character from the name of sake brand “Eishu” that Fujiwara Brewery used to make, as a phonetic equivalent for a part of the French word, Éclat.

We hope that people from overseas can feel the old time atmosphere of Kyoto.
